North Carolina requires a marriage license when getting married in the state. The license can be used for wedding ceremonies in any area of North Carolina for up to 60 days. The fees vary from county to county but Alamance expects $50 in cash. A copy of the marriage license is $10 cash.

There is no necessary blood test or waiting period.

There are several requirements that must be followed to obtain the license in Alamance County. Both individuals must be present with a valid ID, such as driver's license, passport or birth certificate.

Both parties must also have proof of their social security number from either a pay stub, social security card or W-2 tax form. Any divorced individuals for a period less than 365 days must show a copy of the divorce decree.
